Mine was realizing that I couldn’t actually make my classic autistic child go from classic autism to Iron Maiden 45th anniversary 1975 – 2020 thank you for the memories shirt that hit me hard! I honestly thought if I burnt myself out on parental therapy, I could totally change the diagnosis to what I knew I thought I could cope with which was Aspergers! I have 2 sons. One with Aspergers diagnosed late and absolutely grand..just different! I was instead listening to people who thought Asperger’s was autism and I’m glad there are people like you to show awareness and show the ‘other’ end of the spectrum cause ones like my son get forgotten too often.
